In accordance with the Tenth Amendment, the size of government, government regulations, and entitlement and transfer programs, should be limited to essential, inherently governmental functions. Federal, state and local governments should be transparent and limited to their respective roles. We firmly believe in leading through transparency and personal moral integrity.
We are committed to empowering families with the freedom to choose among traditional, charter, home school, on-line, private, or other alternative schools. We are dedicated to supporting parents as the ultimate decision makers for educating their children through high standards of character and quality, with minimal government interference.
We are dedicated to promoting fiscal responsibility for families, and our government. We believe in efficient use of resources and transparency in public spending. We are committed to ensuring that our tax dollars fund only essential government functions, eliminating waste and abuse. We will support policies that restrict taxes and fees to legitimate governmental purposes, avoiding wealth redistribution or undue advantages for special interest groups.
We believe in empowering our communities to ensure decisions are made closer to where they actually affect our citizens, limiting central government influence and protecting our local interests. Recent legislative actions have curbed local oversight and undermined local control. We believe that protecting property rights is essential to maintaining individual freedoms, economic stability, and the ability for our citizens to invest in and improve upon our communities.
We strongly support preserving and protecting parental rights for our citizens. Parents are the primary caregivers and decision makers for their children, and our laws need to recognize their fundamental roles in guiding overall welfare, education, healthcare and moral upbringing. Upholding these rights not only respects family autonomy but also strengthens our community by ensuring that decisions affecting children remain in the hands of family. We will safeguard parental rights against unnecessary government interference while maintaining the safety and welfare of our children.
